PhD Course

Following the successful PhD course in Évora in June 2012, IALE-Europe organised a second PhD course to take place in conjunction with the IALE 2013 European Congress. The theme of the PhD course was “European Landscapes in Transition: the Interplay between Local and Global Drivers”. It addressed the past and future changes of European landscapes and explored the novel approaches required for landscape research in order to understand the transitions taking place, and their multiple drivers and impacts.

The course took place on 7-8 September in Manchester and continued after the European Congress on 13-16 September in the Peak District. The participants attended the entire course and the European Congress.
